London Collections: Men has become a staple of the menswear calendar, QH talks to the men who know it best and get their take on the start of the fashion season...

Jonathan Daniel Pryce, Fashion Photographer

Who are your favourite up and coming designers?

It's exciting to see Craig Green making real waves. In his graduate collection there were a few sniggers at the conceptual side to his work but I love that he's coming into his own and being taken seriously.

What is your favourite part about LC:M?

I love catching up with people I've not seen in a season. The photographers, editors, stylists, designers who I only really get to spend time with over this crazy international trade show called fashion week.

What designers are you most looking forward to seeing?

Attending shows is never part of my client brief so my real passion comes from shooting people on the street. This is where the real action comes in - the true style. It's about how individuals chose to wear an item or style their blazer. This is particularly true with menswear where very few people dress head to toe in one designer.

Where do you like to drink/dine during LC:M?

This season I'll be staying at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel on Bloomsbury Street. It's a great place for an evening cocktail and it'll be the perfect base over the collections as the location is so central.

What is the secret to good style?

It's a cliché to say but individuality. It's about knowing yourself, your limits and how you feel comfortable. That may be an extra bold pinstripe suit or a pop of colour with a pocket square - it's all about the personal approach.
