Oscar award winning screenwriter for Milk, Dustin Lance Black, is lined up to speak at the 10th annual Student Pride.
The acclaimed screenwriter will be joining the Attitude Question Time panel, including presenter Evan Davis, for a discussion about LGBT representation in film and TV.
Black wrote oscar winning and acclaimed film, Milk, and was named one of Advocate magazine's 40 under 40 list of openly gay influential people in 2009.
Student Pride’s Chair Matthew Follows said he is looking forward to Dustin inspiring the same hope in hundreds of students in the UK.
National Student Pride began at Oxford Brookes University in 2005 as a response to the Christian Union’s ‘Homosexuality and the Bible’ talk. Student Pride continues this mantra in its 10th year.
Student pride has chosen to hold its 2015 event at the University of Westminster which last year allowed notoriously homophobic Sheikh Haitham al Haddad to speak at a charity dinner.
National Student Pride marks the end of LGBT History month and will be held 27th February to 1st March. Tickets for the event are on sale now at
